Chocolate Hills
Nature
More than a thousand round hills in the Philippines that turn brown in the dry season.
On the island of Bohol in the Philippines more than 1,200 hills stand side by side, almost all the same shape: round, like upturned bowls. Most are 30 to 50 metres high.
They are made of limestone, covered with grass. In the dry season the grass dries out and turns brown, and then the hills look like rows of chocolates. That is how they got their name.
