Table Mountain
Mountain
A flat-topped mountain watching over Cape Town.
Table Mountain rises 1,086 metres above Cape Town, at the south-western tip of Africa. Its top is a plateau about three kilometres wide, as flat as a table.
Often a cloud pours over the edge and hangs there. People call it the tablecloth. More than 2,000 kinds of plants grow on the mountain, many of which are found nowhere else.
