Niagara Falls
Water
Three waterfalls on the border between Canada and the United States.
Niagara Falls are three waterfalls next to each other on the Niagara river, which flows from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. The largest, the Horseshoe Falls, is about 57 metres high.
The falls came into being at the end of the last ice age, about 12,000 years ago. Part of the water is led away through tunnels to make electricity.
